Blitzen Trapper’s Tour, Album, and FREE Single!

I fell in love when I first heard Blitzen Trapper. “Furr” actually really did make me wish I grew up with wolves and wrote a song about my experiences. And, thankfully, the band will attempt to wow the masses again with Destroyer of the Void June 8th. Sub Pop, home of Postal Service, The Shins and Beach House, will release this follow-up to their critically-acclaimed debut Furr with M.Ward/ Bright Eyes producer Mike Coykendall. And there’s more good news: an upcoming summer tour around Europe and the States.

Asteroids Galaxy Tour Preview

We recently had a short but sweet interview and photo shoot with the lead singer of the Asteroids Galaxy Tour, Mette.    Asteroids Galaxy Tour is based out of Copenhagen, Denmark and their current album, Fruit, is a unique blend of many different musical styles from blues to pop music and it is sure to please any listener.

Sad But No Surprise: More Trouble for Pete Doherty

We’ve been hearing about the hopelessly adorable (when not seething with drugs) musician’s problems for some time now. He just can’t seem to rid himself of that puppy dog who knocked over the trash a few too many times persona. We want to cuddle him and tell him that maybe he doesn’t need to be getting himself into so much trouble, but that never seems to work.

Woody Allen Announces Another Supercast Film

I absolutely love Woody Allen despite all of his controversies I cannot deny that after watching Annie Hall my entire view of relationships and films was changed since then I haven’t been able to stop watching his movies.   After decades of prolific film making there’s no doubt that Woody Allen can get almost any actor he wants.

From his movies in the nineties like Everyone Says I Love You to Vicky Cristina Barcelona he almost always has an amazing cast.  But his upcoming movie, You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger, probably has one of the most impressive casts he has yet to assemble.    It includes:  Naomi Watts (King Kong), Josh Brolin (No Country for Old Men), Anthony Hopkins (Hannibal), Antonio Banderas (The Legend of Zoro), and Freida Pinto (Slumdog Millionaire.)  The movie is being shot in London, England. While there has yet to be much released about the plot what do you guys think will this movie be another one of Allen’s classics or a flop despite the big cast?

She & Him: Volume 2

No one can deny Zooey Deschanel has an irresistible charm and her latest album with She & Him is a testament to that.  For those of you who don’t already know about Zooey’s musical career she is apart of a band called She & Him, which is a collaboration with M. Ward.  In their first album Volume 1 was released in 2008.   The follow up album Volume 2 is filled with music that can only be described as “pop-ie folk.”   The album is perfect to listen to while driving on a sunny summer day with the windows rolled down.

With the latest album a new music video was released for the single, In the Sun.   The music video features Zooey doing dance sequences in a variety of adorable vintage outfits to impress the stoic M. Ward.  Check it out.
