A Fond Farewell to Alexander McQueen

Today I’d like to post a blog in honor of Alexander McQueen. His death a few weeks ago really took me for shock. The man is a genius. His designs were intricate, unique, and beautiful the fashion world will be at a loss without him. McQueen pushed the lines in creativity but still maintained an air of elegance and beauty in every one of his pieces. I’ll truly miss seeing his new lines each season.

Vampire Weekend Knows a Jonas Brother? And Lil Jon?

The band’s latest music video release, “Giving Up the Gun,” features cameos from Joe Jonas, Jake Gylenhaal, and Lil Jon. Yeah, you heard us right.

What do you guys think? Sell-out? Or just a good marketing move?

MGMT New Release?!

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you probably still have the ever-present “Kids” riff in your head even three years after the MGMT release. And, now, low and behold,  the band’s new album, Congratulations, is slated to hit stores April 13th.

According to NME, the duo wants this album to be different than their amazingly successful debut, Oracular Spectacular.

“We’d rather people hear the whole album as an album and see what tracks jump out rather than the ones that get played on the radio – if anything gets played on the radio!” Ben Goldwasser explained to the magazine.

With released tracklisting and artwork, this may just be shaping out to be this year’s new “it” album, hopefully not a sophomore slump.
