An Inside Look at Coachella

Its just about time again where we all march on down to Indio for a three day musical orgy. Some of the worlds best DJ’s will be there so you can dance your ass off for three days straight to deadmau5, Z-Trip, and Plastikman. What makes this Coachella particularly exciting though are the many debut appearances and epic returns.

  • The Gorillaz have not performed in the states for several years. With the addition of the new album this is particularly important to check out.
  • Them Crooked Vultures who seemed to have made it big overnight are going to be performing. For many of us this will be the first chance to catch them live.
  • Mike Patton, after many years of creatively insane projects, has returned to Faith No More.
  • Julian Casablancas and Thom Yorke started on new projects around the same time, but only played a few shows, so it seems Coachella is the right place to be this weekend.
  • Who knows what John Waters set will consist of. Hopefully it doesn’t involve dog feces, transvestites, or chickens. Expect to be shocked by what goes on when he’s on stage.
  • There are also some classic bands that will be performing. Such bands as Devo, Spoon, and Gary Numan will be there.

If you’re not at Coachella this weekend you better have a good reason or you will be kicking yourself for missing out.
