Beck Hansen is amongst the great innovators in music over the past twenty years. A lot of his recent activity has consisted of banding other great artists together as part of a project that’s being called Record Club. Artists such as Annie Clark, Sergio Dias of Os Mutantes, and even MGMT (amongst many other brilliant musicians) have banded together with Beck for the purpose of covering an album in a day.
Most recently “Kick” by INXS was chosen, other great selections have been “Songs of Leonard Cohen” and “The Velvet Underground and Nico”. Each of these supergroups can be found performing these songs in videos on Beck’s Website.
