I fell in love when I first heard Blitzen Trapper. “Furr” actually really did make me wish I grew up with wolves and wrote a song about my experiences. And, thankfully, the band will attempt to wow the masses again with Destroyer of the Void June 8th. Sub Pop, home of Postal Service, The Shins and Beach House, will release this follow-up to their critically-acclaimed debut Furr with M.Ward/ Bright Eyes producer Mike Coykendall. And there’s more good news: an upcoming summer tour around Europe and the States.
We can all only hope to fall in love with the band all over again in June, but really with the amazing single “Heaven and Earth” and the tour, it’ll be a good year for Blitzen Trapper fans.
