David Byrne of “the Talking Heads” earned a great deal of his popularity by teaming up with Brian Eno for “My Life in the Bush of Ghosts.” Together they changed music forever with their innovative use of sampling. Now David Byrne is making another team up with the genius of St. Vincent.
Annie Clark of St. Vincent (and former member of the Polyphonic Spree) has also proven herself just as revolutionary. Her chaotic, somewhat jazzy, experimental style has earned her a quick reputation over the past three years. During this time she has released two full albums and has already teamed up with other musicians such as Sufjan Stevens and Bon Iver.
As it stands the project they are working on is planned to have about eight songs. As they collaborate through sending back and forth samples we can expect some truly brilliant songs to evolve over the next few months. In the near future this crysalis shall awaken and will likely influence music in brand new ways.
