You won’t find Swedish indie hit Lykke Li with an overly complicated or colorful ensemble. Of her personal style, she says “If I have the choice, I’ll always go for black, white or grey, but not all at the same time. I like having a simple look.” However, a basic color pallette doesn’t stop the starlet from capturing the fashion spotlight. Li’s perfect blend of vintage and designer threads will continue to captivate us for many events to come.
The fashion industry is ever-changing, and the internet has played a particularly significant role in forming trends and increasing affordability. Social media has had an extensive impact, through encouraging accessibility, discourse on trends and designers, and enabling fashion enthusiasts to have input on what works and what doesn’t. I absolutely love Woody Allen despite all of his controversies I cannot deny that after watching Annie Hall my entire view of relationships and films was changed since then I haven’t been able to stop watching his movies. After decades of prolific film making there’s no doubt that Woody Allen can get almost any actor he wants.

From his movies in the nineties like Everyone Says I Love You to Vicky Cristina Barcelona he almost always has an amazing cast. But his upcoming movie, You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger, probably has one of the most impressive casts he has yet to assemble. It includes: Naomi Watts (King Kong), Josh Brolin (No Country for Old Men), Anthony Hopkins (Hannibal), Antonio Banderas (The Legend of Zoro), and Freida Pinto (Slumdog Millionaire.) The movie is being shot in London, England. While there has yet to be much released about the plot what do you guys think will this movie be another one of Allen’s classics or a flop despite the big cast?

A poolside and bar on a rooftop, an electric organ, a lounge area with 1960s décor and pink couches, all of this may not seem like your typical hotel furnishings but, at the Standard Hotel in Downtown LA these unorthodox furnishings are merged into an eclectic, chic, and vintage setting. It’s the perfect place to stay if you’re looking for a hip but upscale hotel while you’re visiting Los Angeles. And even if you’re a Southern California local the Standard Hotel has a rooftop bar with an amazing view and more of their unique sixties post modern décor.
Niche was lucky enough to shoot our upcoming Undrest bathing suit editorial on the rooftop at the poolside and bar. It was a success thanks to everyone involved and the incredible location of the Standard Rooftop Bar.
