Joseph Gordon-Levitt has transitioned from a child star into a strapping young actor.  He carefully chooses roles in big budget films like Batman but also acts in indie films like 500 Days of Summer.  So with his upcoming film, Hesher, releasing soon let’s review some unknown facts about this beloved indie hunk.

With critics giving enthusiastic acclaim, the Los Angeles Ballet debuted their performance of “Giselle” this past Saturday at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center.

For those unfamiliar with the storyline of the classic ballet, the Los Angeles Times gives an effective summary. “Giselle is a village girl courted by a prince disguised as a peasant. She falls in love with him, but when she finds out his identity — and that he’s engaged to someone else — she loses her mind and dies. End of ballet? Not by a long shot. In Act 2, she appears as a spirit newly enrolled in the ranks of the Wilis, night creatures that wreak vengeance on perjured suitors. Giselle resists her new duties and saves her prince.”
