The International Make-Up Artist Trade Show (IMATS) featured a True Blood make-up panel on Sunday June 26. Niche sat in on the panel to hear about some of their tricks of the show as well as some juicy insights into the upcoming fourth season.
The panel discussed everything from their secrets of creating the blood tears shed by vampires to their use of contacts to create the supernatural eyes. They ended with the fact that even though computers are used heavily now it is still an art because there is still an artist behind the computer creating it.
After the panel we spoke to Dan Repert about the upcoming season of True Blood. While he is sworn to secrecy he told us there will be goblins added to the cast of paranormal creatures and that you will be seeing less of certain cast members this season.
We also asked Repert about the shows bad boy heartthrobs Alexander Skarsgård. He said Skarsgård is absolutely nothing like his character on the True Blood. He said Skarsgård is one of the most down to earth people and incredibly humble. Also he told us a story about Skarsgård when the baby they were using on set was missing and it turned out that he was playing with it.
